Elementor AI Chatbot

Elementor AI Chatbot Site-Wide, No Widget Needed

Elementor runs on WordPress, so the simplest way to add an Elementor AI chatbot is the free Bitsa AI Chatbot plugin from WordPress.org. Once you paste your Client ID into the plugin settings, the chat bubble appears on every page of your site, whether it was built with Elementor, Elementor Pro templates or the block editor. You do not drag a widget onto any page. The bot answers from your own pages, PDFs and FAQs, captures leads, and replies in 50+ languages including Hindi and Hinglish.

01 / The Short Answer

Why You Don't Need an Elementor Chat Widget

Elementor is a page builder that sits on top of WordPress. A chatbot is not page content; it is a site-wide script that should load on every page. That job belongs to WordPress, not to a widget you place on each Elementor layout.

The Bitsa AI Chatbot plugin loads the chatbot through WordPress itself, asynchronously in the footer. Because it is not an Elementor element, it keeps working when you redesign a page, switch Elementor templates or add new landing pages. There is no Bitsa AI Elementor widget, and you do not need one. The AI replies, knowledge-base training and lead management run on Bitsa AI's cloud; the plugin is only a lightweight connector.

01

Plugin (recommended)

Install Bitsa AI Chatbot, paste your Client ID once, and the bot is live on every page. You can hide it on specific pages with a filter and switch it off with one checkbox.

02

Embed code on one Elementor page

Paste the same Bitsa AI embed script into Elementor's HTML widget when you want the bot on a single page only, or cannot install plugins on the site. Details are in the embed-code section below.

02 / Step by Step

How to Add a Chatbot to an Elementor Website

You never open the Elementor editor for this. The full click-by-click version is in our guide on how to add a chatbot to WordPress; here is the short form.

Plugins → Add New

In your WordPress admin, open Plugins → Add New and search for "Bitsa AI Chatbot".

Install Now, then Activate

A "Bitsa AI Chatbot" item appears in the left admin menu. It needs WordPress 5.0+ and PHP 7.4+.

Create your Bitsa AI account

Sign up at bitsaai.com/signup. The 7-day free trial needs no credit card.

Train the Knowledge Base

Add your Elementor page URLs, sitemap, PDFs, text documents or FAQs. Training runs in minutes.

Whitelist your domain

In Domain Access, add your domain without https://. It covers www and subdomains.

Copy the Client ID

Open Branding → Embed code and copy the Client ID, or the whole embed script.

Paste and save

In WordPress, click Bitsa AI Chatbot, paste the ID or script, click Save Changes, then purge your cache. The bubble now shows on every Elementor page.

03 / Compatibility

Does It Work with Elementor Pro, Templates and Caching?

  • Elementor and Elementor Pro pages: the chatbot is loaded by WordPress, not by Elementor, so it appears whether a page uses the free editor, Pro widgets, or a Theme Builder header, footer or single-post template.
  • Sticky buttons and floating WhatsApp icons: many Elementor sites already have a floating button in a corner. Move the chat bubble to the other side under Branding in the Bitsa AI dashboard. No code and no plugin update is needed.
  • Page speed: Elementor pages can already be heavy. The chatbot adds one loader of about 16 KB gzipped, loaded async in the footer, and the chat window loads after the page or when the visitor reaches for the chat. It does not block rendering.
  • Caching plugins: after saving your Client ID, purge the cache in WP Rocket, LiteSpeed Cache or whichever optimisation plugin you use. A stale cached page is the usual reason the bubble does not show for logged-out visitors.
  • Cloudflare: the plugin is compatible with Cloudflare Rocket Loader and uses WordPress native async loading on WordPress 6.3+.
  • Bubble still missing? Check Domain Access first. If the live domain is not whitelisted, the bot will not load.
04 / Control

How to Hide the Chatbot on Specific Elementor Pages

Elementor's display conditions control Elementor templates and elements, and the chatbot is neither. To hide it on certain pages, use the plugin's developer filter in your child theme's functions.php or a code snippets plugin. This example hides it on the WooCommerce checkout:

add_filter( 'bitsaai_chatbot_load_widget', function ( $load ) {
    return is_checkout() ? false : $load;
} );

To hide it on an Elementor landing page instead, replace is_checkout() with is_page( 'your-landing-page-slug' ), or combine conditions with ||. is_checkout() is a WooCommerce function, so use is_page() on sites without WooCommerce.

To switch the chatbot off everywhere, untick "Show chatbot" in the plugin settings, or deactivate the plugin. Deleting the plugin removes its settings, including on multisite.

05 / Embed Option

Using the Embed Code on an Elementor-Built Page

The plugin is the right choice for almost every Elementor site. Use the embed code only if you want the bot on one page and nowhere else, or you manage a client site where you are not allowed to install plugins. It is the same Bitsa AI embed script used on any website, not a special Elementor widget.

  • In the Bitsa AI dashboard, open Branding → Embed code and copy the full script.
  • Make sure the site's domain is added in Domain Access.
  • Edit the page with Elementor, drag Elementor's built-in HTML widget anywhere on the page, and paste the script into it.
  • Click Update, purge your cache, and open the page in a private window to check the bubble.

Do not use the plugin and the embed script together, or visitors may see two chat bubbles. The same script also works outside WordPress; see adding an AI chatbot to any website.

06 / What It Does

What an Elementor AI Chatbot Does for Your Visitors

Service and lead-gen sites

Agencies, clinics, coaching institutes and consultants often build landing pages in Elementor. The bot answers service questions from your own content and collects name, phone, email and requirements, which appear in your Bitsa AI dashboard. See our WordPress lead generation plugin guide.

WooCommerce stores on Elementor

Shoppers can find products, check details and add items to cart through the official WooCommerce Store API. Cart actions go to your store's own endpoint. More in the WooCommerce AI shopping assistant guide.

Hindi and Hinglish visitors

Indian customers who type the way they message on WhatsApp get replies in their own language. The bot detects the language and replies in it, across 50+ languages. Read about the Hindi WordPress chatbot.

Install the free plugin, paste your Client ID, and your whole Elementor site has an AI assistant trained on your own content.

07 / Avoid These

Common Mistakes on Elementor Sites

  • Pasting the script into every page. On a WordPress site, the plugin covers every page in one step. Page-by-page HTML widgets are easy to forget on new pages.
  • Using the plugin and an HTML widget together. This can show two bubbles. Pick one method.
  • Skipping the cache purge. You see the bot while logged in; visitors get yesterday's cached page.
  • Training only on the home page. Add the Elementor pages that hold your prices, policies and service details, plus any PDF brochures.
  • Leaving the bubble on top of another floating button. Change the bubble position in Branding.
08 / Common Questions

Elementor AI Chatbot FAQs

No. Elementor runs on WordPress, so the free Bitsa AI Chatbot plugin loads the chatbot on every page of the site once you paste your Client ID in its settings. You do not add anything inside the Elementor editor. An HTML widget with the Bitsa AI embed script is only an option when you want the bot on a single page or cannot install plugins.

Yes. The chatbot is loaded by WordPress in the footer, not by Elementor, so custom headers, footers and single-page templates built with Elementor Pro do not affect it. If the bubble does not appear, the usual causes are a domain missing from Domain Access or a cache that needs purging.

Yes. The plugin's bitsaai_chatbot_load_widget filter lets you return false on any page, using WordPress conditional tags such as is_page() or WooCommerce's is_checkout(). If you want the bot on one page only, paste the embed script into an Elementor HTML widget on that page instead of using the plugin.

The Bitsa AI Chatbot plugin itself is free to download from WordPress.org. It connects your site to a Bitsa AI account, which runs the AI. Every new account includes a 7-day free trial with no credit card required, and paid plans start at ₹299 a month. Check the Bitsa AI pricing page for the current plans and what each one includes.

Setup needs no code. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New, search for Bitsa AI Chatbot, then install and activate it. Create an account at bitsaai.com, open Knowledge Base and train the bot on your website pages, sitemap, PDFs or FAQs. Add your domain under Domain Access, copy your Client ID from Branding → Embed code, and paste it into the plugin settings. Before launch, ask it the questions customers ask you most and check the answers. If the chat collects names, phone numbers or emails, update your privacy policy: the plugin adds suggested text under Settings → Privacy → Policy Guide.

Bitsa AI understands and replies in 50+ languages, including English, Hindi and Hinglish (Hindi written in Latin script). It detects the language a visitor writes in and answers in the same language. If many of your customers write in another language, such as Marathi, test a few real questions during the free trial. Leads captured in the chat are recorded in your Bitsa AI dashboard, and on WooCommerce stores cart actions go through your own Store API. For any other tool you need connected, ask the Bitsa AI team before you rely on it.
